God’s Faithfulness Declared in His Word:

 

1 Cor. 1:9  - God is faithful, by whom you were called into the      fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

 

1 Thess. 5:24 - He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.

 

Deut. 7:9 - Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the   faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments

 

Deut. 32:4 - He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.

 

1 Cor. 10:13 - No temptation has overtaken you except such as is  common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

 

1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

FAITHFUL – to stay; support; a person whom one can safely lean upon

 

Lam. 3:23 – “They are new every morning. Great is your

faithfulness”

 

All of God’s work is done in      faithfulness.

 

Psa. 33:4 - For the word of the LORD is right, And all His work is done in truth.

 

Isa. 25:1 - O LORD, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

I. In Disciplining His people

 

Heb. 12:6 – For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.

 

Psa. 119:75 - I know, O LORD, that Your judgments are right, And that in faithfulness You have      afflicted me.
