Matthew 17:20

“So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief, for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”

· Mountains are often associated to something that is difficult to climb.

· Mountain symbolizes hardships and     difficulties of life.

· There is always a solution in every mountain.

· Life is filled with mountains.

· But Jesus reminds us that if we have faith like a mustard seed, we can say to the mountain, “Move over there,” and it shall move.

THREE CHARACTERS TO HAVE

I. FAITH

Hebrews 11:1

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

· Faith can change our outlook.

· Since faith can change our outlook, it expands the possibilities of life.

· Faith can move mountains      because we are connected to the Mover of the mountain.

II. OBEDIENCE

Romans 2:13

“...for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be      justified;”

Ephesians 6:1

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.

Proverbs 6:20-23

Keep His Word—this is the      instruction of our Lord to us.

III. HUMILITY OF HEART

· Condition of being humble

· “Humus” - dirt

· What we have right now are all from God. No one can make boast of what he has.
